As well as having two golf courses in the area, Moreton beach is a magnet for sand buggies and horse riders at low tide. There is a Leisure Centre here, as the beach is adjacent to the North Wirral Coastal Park. Picnics can be enjoyed in the dunes behind the beach, which is a haven for marine wildlife, as is this whole stretch of coastline. The beach is recommended by the Marine Conservation Society, with excellent bathing water and the security of extensive RNLI lifeguard cover. Leasowe lighthouse provides the backdrop to the beach.
