Season: autumn
Cleveleys beach is just north of Blackpool. The surface is more pebbled than sandy and there’s a small town just behind the lengthy promenade. It’s straightforward to park and all amenities are at hand for visitors. There are plenty of hotels, shops and restaurants all along the seafront to visit after you’ve filled your lungs with sea air. You’ve an extensive choice of golf courses in this area and there are amusement arcades and bingo halls, if you’re that way inclined.
