Bay of Tafts is on the Orkney Island of Westray. It forms a clean curve of white sand, which faces the Atlantic to the south west. This is a haven for birds like the ringed plover and there’s an intoxicating tranquility as you walk along, a real feeling of being on the edge. Westray has many other sandy beaches, so make sure you’ve enough time to explore as much as possible of this enchanted island as you can.
