Tate Hill is a small, sandy beach, sitting by Whitby’s harbour wall at the mouth of the River Esk. It is backed by the fashionable Church Street, with its independent shops that lend great character to this part of the town. Nearby Henrietta Street is home to the world famous Fortunes Kippers. Church Street also features the 199 steps that lead up to Whitby Abbey. This imposing ruin is reputedly where Dracula landed in the famous novel, making Whitby a favourite visitor destination for Goths.
Beaches near and far for Yvonne.
