Putsborough is at the quieter end of Woolacombe beach and has an altogether more tranquil ambience. It is unspoilt and a place of great beauty. Thanks to the headland known as Baggy Point, the beach is sheltered from the prevailing South Westerly winds, yet it attracts water sports enthusiasts, including surfers and kayakers. This is a fine beach to get away from it all, with dogs welcome to the right of the steps down to the beach. Highly recommended.
