Season: spring
Gwynver beach is adjacent to Whitesand Bay, yet it has its own wild, natural feel while still enabling access at low tide to the shops and cafes at Sennen Cove. This is a stunning beach in any weather, popular with surfers, beachcombers and walkers alike, with the added bonus of the coast path behind the beach. Large, rounded stones decorate the upper reaches and people often choose to settle on these, enjoying the view out to the distant Atlantic horizon.

John’s appreciation of the beach.
A view from the back of Gwynver beach.
This beach means space, time freedom, a refueling of my energy and a cleansing of it. It’s a symphony of sounds, with incredible vibration.
I grew up not far from here, and the beach has always meant good times. Fun and excitement as a child, big walks, relaxation and the exhilaration of the sea as an adult. The season doesn’t matter a jot. Anytime of the year the beach is solace, it’s downtime, it’s the place I always want to be. Now we’re delighted to offer several wonderful cottages above Gwenver at Tregiffian where families can create their own little paradise for a week or two at a time.
