Season: autumn

Little and Great Haven beaches are conjoined at low tide, but they have a different ambience from each other.  Little Haven is the strand for the up-market village at the upper reaches of its small shingle beach.  Holiday cottages and dive boats proliferate, making this an ideal location for watersports and adrenalin-fuelled activities, as well as for a more laconic approach to this pleasant stretch of coastline.

We love the beach at Little Haven, due to the idyllic peacefulness of its picture postcard surroundings. There are several good quality pubs and it’s a lovely place to kick back and relax, while listening to the waves crashing against the surrounding cliffs. A short walk along the coastal path brings you to the Settlands, a wide bay, and to St Brides Haven which is a real hidden treasure, where those ‘in the know’ can sometimes be found swimming in the sea.
