This is one of the most famous beaches in Britain, the archetypal bucket and spade destination for the good people of the West Riding of Yorkshire over many years and still today. The beach sweeps majestically round to the harbour, backed by brightly lit Amusement arcades, ice cream parlours, restaurants and pubs. There’s always a bubbly, outgoing banter and atmosphere. It’s always Show Time. The beach itself has acres of golden sand and plenty of visitors, who are happy to take the air and to enjoy being by the seaside. Highly recommended.
