Season: summer
Sandsend is in many ways an extension to Whitby, but there’s a much more genteel feel here. The beach is sandy and Sandsend has a relaxing ambiance. It is popular with families and fossil hunters alike, plus those looking for a romantic break. Despite its proximity to houses and shops, the beach has a natural feel and its secluded geography makes it a sun trap during the visitor season.
