Season: summer
Exmouth has an excellent sandy beach that stretches for two miles to the west of the harbour. The backdrop to the beach comprises a long promenade and the town itself has gardens and parks to enjoy. Access is straightforward and there’s always marine traffic to watch as you walk along. This is a good example of a town beach.
The unchanging appeal of the beach through time for Andrea.
The beach at Exmouth.
It’s a place to relax, walk, read a book, play or just generally unwind. It reminds me of times gone by when I was young and played on a lovely sandy beach with my Mum and a friend, it was like Exmouth, but not as long or as beautiful as Exmouth beach. It’s just a lovely place to be.
As a resident of Exmouth i am fortunate enough to be able to enjoy this beach all year round as it is not just the summer months that this place is beautiful.
Seeing the stormy waves can be just as serene as sitting there just as the sun sets.
Having young children myself we often enjoy it when the tide is out revealing the amazing rockpools and seeing what we can find, it’s a bonus that there is often not an ice cream or chip shop far away!
