Season: autumn
This peaceful, quiet beach is a haven for wildlife, as the beach to the east of the River Annan is backed by salt marsh, or merse, as it’s locally known. As a result, this an ideal environment for birds, such as redshanks, oystercatchers and lapwings. Featured flowers and grasses include thrift and scurvy grass. The beach itself comprises mostly shingle, so this is a fine spot to walk the dog. Nearby Annan has plenty of facilities and restaurants. Annan beach is a good place to rebalance and recharge your batteries.
What the beach means to Mandy.
A place I walk my dog meet friends old and new, watch the birds and tides come and go, love the wind in my face
