Season: autumn
Not strictly a beach, but certainly a geological wonder, the Giant’s Causeway attracts visitors from all around the world. Enormous hexagonal basalt columns lead you down from the cliffs to the sea. Legend has it that they were placed here by the giant Fin McCool, who was intent on building a bridge to Scotland. Why not visit the nearby Bushmills Distillery while you’re here?
