Season: autumn

Ballycastle has a popular beach with locals and visitors alike, comprising part of the Causeway Coast Route of Antrim.  The well-resourced town is used a s a base for visiting nearby attractions, such as The Giant’s Causeway and the Glens of Antrim.   The beach has a 74 berth marina at one end and the River Margy runs to the sea over the beach.  Surfing is popular and swimming is safe in the clean bathing water.  The beach is now regularly cleaned in the summer months.
