Season: spring
With some of the finest sand dunes in Norfolk, Winterton-on-Sea beach is both family friendly and a wonderful natural environment for wildlife. As part of the Winterton – Horsey Dunes Site of Special Scientific Interest, you’ll find seals and their pups between here and Horsey Gap in December and January. There is good access and parking nearby, plus a handy beach cafe just behind the beach. There is always plenty of room on the beach, even at the busiest times of year. Winterton-on-Sea is a charming village, with thatched cottages and a genteel feel.
