Season: autumn
St Mildred’s Bay is sandy, with a promenade and cliffs, as well as offering good access to the adjacent towns of Westgate and Margate. There’s a tidal pool for swimming in the clean bathing water, plus seasonal lifeguard cover. All the usual water sports are available to visitors, including windsurfing, sailing and boating, supported by a slipway. There’s a cafe, beach huts and even deckchairs for hire. This is a good visitor location for all the family.
