Season: autumn

The beach at Leysdown-on-Sea is also known as Shellness.  It is linked to a naturist beach, which is a good half mile down the road from this main beach and accessed via Shellness Road.  Leysdown’s beach is sandy and an excellent bathing location, with clean sea water.  There’s a seasonal lifeguard service.  The town is welcoming, with cafes and restaurants, good access to the beach and handy parking.
