Season: summer
Gurnard is a popular water sports beach and Gurnard Sailing Club is nearby. Jet skiing, windsurfing and surfing are popular too. The bathing water is clean and there are regular beach cleans. The surface is sand and shingle. Behind the beach, all manner of facilities are at hand, including a promenade, a restaurant and a cafe, plus an ice cream parlour. There are fine views out to The Solent and the beach is well equipped for disabled visitors.
