Season: autumn
This Blue Flag beach is run by The National Trust. Comprising two miles of soft sand, there are extensive sand dunes behind the beach, with Portstewart Golf Course set behind the eastern end. The dunes attract birdlife and wild flowers for nature lovers and there are acres of golden sand to explore on the beach itself. As a result, horse riding and surfing are popular too.
