Season: autumn
Ballycastle has a beach that is popular with locals and visitors alike. It comprises part of the Causeway Coast Route of Antrim. The well resourced town can be used as a base from which to visit nearby attractions like The Giant’s Causeway and the Glens of Antrim. Ballycastle has a seventy four berth marina at one end and the River Margy runs to the sea over the beach. Surfing is popular and swimming is safe, with clean bathing water. The beach is also regularly cleaned in the summer months.
