Season: autumn
With a river running into the beach at the southern end, Cushendall is a gentle, sandy beach. It sits just north of Waterfoot and is part of the Antrim Coast and Glens Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There is ample parking at the northern end of the beach and the backdrop is grassy, with Cushendall Golf Course behind. The historic town of Cushendall is a few hundred yards from the beach, offering all the visitor facilities you would expect.
