Season: summer
With daily beach cleans and excellent bathing water quality, Colwell Bay is a popular water sports destination in West Wight, with a slipway for boat and kayak access. There are beach huts and deckchairs for hire too, if you’re feeling more sedentary. Access is good via a promenade and the sea wall that runs down to Totland Bay. Families are attracted here, with good parking, toilets and a beach cafe. The setting is topped off by fine views across to the Dorset coast.
