Home to Sandwich’s three links golf courses, one of which hosts The Open, Sandwich Bay’s long beach is predictably backed by sand dunes. The coastal strand stretches out between Deal to the south and Ramsgate to the north. The village of Sandwich Bay is at the southern end, acting as a fine starting point to explore this stretch of coastline, where water sports are also popular. This is a naturist beach and there is a Nature Reserve at the northern end of the beach. The beach is a mixture of sand and shingle, being easy to walk on. This is a great place to blow away the cobwebs.
