Also known as Silver Bay, this is a beautiful, horseshoe-shaped beach, accessed via a narrow track with high, grassy banks.  A recipient of the prestigious Green Coast Award and recommended by the Marine Conservation Society, Rhoscolyn has much to offer.  Free parking makes you feel welcome and the Anglesey Coastal Path runs down to the beach.  The water is clean for bathing and there are water sports galore, with windsurfing, diving, snorkeling and kayaking, as well as rockpooling and surfing by the beach.  Rhoscolyn beach is also the site for the third of artist Anthony Garratt’s “Four on Anglesey” series, comprising four 2.5 metre outdoor paintings by Anthony, set and completed “en plein air” then displayed at four distinctive coastal locations on Anglesey.  You can learn more about his work here.
