Season: summer
Sitting at the end of a sheltered inlet on Holy Island, Porth Dafarch offers a safe anchorage for passing yachts. There is a sandy beach, with rock pools for children and clean bathing water. Porth Dafarch has Blue Flag status and is recommended by the Marine Conservation Society. A slipway supports boating and diving, both popular here. There’s good fishing too, making this beach a jewel in the Anglesey crown.
Andy and Dominic relax at Porth Dafarch beach, here on a climbing trip with The Rucksack Club.
