Tobermory beach

Season: summer

Tobermory is the main town on Mull, a fishing port that is also the ferry terminal from either Oban or Kilchoan on the Ardnamurchan peninsula.  With its colourful houses and shops by the water, its also a delightful visitor destination and the first impression for visitors of Mull and the beaches that they are looking forward to enjoying.  I recommend stopping for a while, to appreciate the fine seafood and boutique hotels, or perhaps to take a whale and dolphin watching trip from the harbour.  The shops are varied and independent, including a pottery, library and other less mainstream attractions.
